Cricket in India
Many believe it is the character of cricket which made it so popular all over the globe and as a result, the popularity of cricket is progressing in leaps and bounds. Tournaments like the World cub and T-20 are blessed with an unlikely reaction. In world cricket, 1 of the most venerated squads is from India. Making its own style and beauty, Indian cricket has some of the most impressive participants like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Sunil Gavaskar who have added great value to the team.

Indian cricket is composed of both national and regional squads. In India, every state has its own regional cricket teams who play in tournaments like the Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy. participants who play the best in these regional cricket teams move up to play international games. The highest authority in the country for the game is a body called The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) who has a host of responsibilities including selecting the national team and decide on all matters involving sponsorship as well as role clarity of every player in the national cricket team. Other than the national body called the BCCI, there are also region level cricket control governments that are in charge of overseeing the participants at the state level, and also groom them for handling future and higher responsibilities. It is obvious that the state level cricket authorities are responsible in building and contributing towards the national team and of late several headline-making participants have emerged like Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh and Pathan have been able to showcase their talent only with the backup of region level governments.
Indian cricket team got approval as test team in 1932 that was a subject of great honor for every Indian and in the same year, the squad played its initial test cricket match against England at Lords and really proved their potential as a good test team. Afterwards Indian participants never looked back and went on making and beating records. In addition to these improvements, India won the cricket world cup in 1983 and the T-20 world cup also recently, after its glorious victory in test cricket against England played in Madras in 1952.
